The Mark and Shelly Wilson Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation announces the selection of Wilberforce student Alexxus Beckwith as a Coca-Cola Co. USA Dear Future Community Challenge Change-maker. Alexxus, a junior from Michigan, was one of 17 persons selected from across the country for the project idea, Recycle Wilberforce. Through the grant, Alexxus will work to develop an on-campus recycling program that includes three major components: recycle stations, sort space, and a design lab for recycled projects. Working through The Mark and Shelly Wilson Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Recycle Wilberforce will provide unique jobs and entrepreneurship efforts for students interested in sustainability, art, agriculture, design, and entrepreneurship. As a Dear Future Community Challenge Change-maker, Alexxus will be partnered with a community expert and the project will be supported with funding from the Coca-Cola Co. USA.
