Wilberforce University Bulldogs Win for Homecoming Game
Wilberforce, OH -- The bulldogs won their homecoming game defeating the Miami-Hamilton Harriers, Miami, Ohio, 77-44. The men came out strong taking possession of the ball during the tip off. The men were up 25 points during halftime with a score of 37-12. The Bulldogs gave the Harriers no room to get ahead throughout the rest of the game. Senior, Rawlston Charles lead the men in scoring with a total of 28 points.
Bulldogs Win Big on the Road
Wilberforce, OH -- The Trojans of Trinity International University, Deerfield, Ill., fell short to the Bulldogs during the La Quita Inn Suites Tournament. The Bulldogs defeated the Trojans 82-55. Junior, Orville Perkins put up 17 points during the game followed by senior, Rawlston Charles who put up 15 points.
Bulldogs Face first Loss of the Season
Wilberforce, OH -- Robert Morris College, Chicago, Ill., ended the Bulldogs winning streak during the final day of the La Quita Inn Suites Tournament. The Bulldogs fell short to Robert Morris with the final score of 81-64.
Bulldogs Bounce Back to Bring Home Win
Wilberforce, OH -- The men recovered quickly from their recent loss against Robert Morris to bring home a win. The Bulldogs defeated Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, Ill., 87-76. Senior, Rawlston Charles, junior, Monty Washington and senior Dwight Cass produced big during the game. Charles scoring a total of 32 points, Washington with 24 points and Cass with 14 points.
Charles Scores Big as Bulldogs Defeat Point Park University
Wilberforce, OH -- The Wilberforce Men defeated the Pioneers of Point Park University, Pittsburgh, Pa., on the road. The men won 104-101. Rawlston Charles shot the winning three and set a career high shooting a total of 48 points during the game. Charles' performance during this game and throughout the season named him AMC (American Mideast Conference) player of the week.
Purdue University North Central Lose to Bulldogs
Wilberforce, OH -- Purdue University North Central, Westville, Ind, fell short to the Bulldogs during the Ben Waterman Classic. The Bulldogs were up during the half with a score of 32-28. Purdue tried to take the lead during the second half, but was unsuccessful. The Bulldogs won a final score of 74-67.
Men Fall Short to East West University
Wilberforce, OH -- During day two of the Ben Waterman Classic, the Bulldogs fell short to East West University, Chicago, Ill. The final score was 88-87. Top scorers were senior Rawlston Charles with 27 points, junior Orville Perkins with 12 points and senior Gerald Akridge with 12 points.
