The Office of Rehabilitation Counseling Banner with University Seal

WELCOME!!

Founded in the State of Ohio in 1856, Wilberforce University is the first black college in America and was named in honor of the great 18th century abolitionist, William Wilberforce.

The mission of Wilberforce University is the development of the total person. Central to this mission is the preparation of students for leadership in today's complex job market and society at large. Consequently, the University emphasizes the integration of liberal arts education and supervised work experience.

Wilberforce University has offered a Bachelor of Arts degree in Rehabilitation for over 30 years.

In 2004, we began a new graduate program, leading to a Master of Science degree in Rehabilitation Counseling.

This program is designed to meet the growing demand for qualified, professionally trained rehabilitation counselors who want to work in public and private rehabilitation agencies and institution.

You are welcome to contact us or visit us at any time. Our faculty and staff will be happy to answer any questions.
