University’s Pre-Freshman Program Sets Enrollment Record
STEP-UP, the University’s pre-freshman science program, has set a University record for enrollees. Fifty-six of the nation’s leading prospective scientists have come to the University to participate in a special federal government initiative to create a pool of the next generation of scientists and technologists.

 

Clinton Urges Wilberforce Grads To Fight Against Injustice
Hillary Clinton told graduates at Wilberforce University "journeys that led to the abolition of slavery still call us to finish the march to justice."The Associated Press reports that Clinton, who spoke at the historically black college's graduation ceremony Saturday, urged graduates to remain optimistic about their ability to fight injustice and change society for the better.

Wilberforce: Inspiration for a New Generation
The Better Hour, a campaign launched by the Wilberforce Project, wants young Americans to get involved in bringing change to their communities, using the work of abolitionist and philanthropist William Wilberforce as inspiration.

Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton to Address Historic Wilberforce University Commencement
Wilberforce University President, Reverend Dr. Floyd H. Flake, today announced that the University’s commencement speaker will be New York Senator and Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton. Senator Clinton will address the historic gathering of graduates, faculty, families, and alumni on Saturday, May 5, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Wright State University’s Ervin J. Nutter Center.
