As an integral part of the greater Wilberforce community, the University participated in a gathering of Wilberforce residents on August 15, 2009.  The festival was organized by the Wilberforce Community Property Owners and Voters Association (WCPOVA).  Uniting current and former residents and learning more about local universities/institutions were some of the key objectives of the festival.
