PRESIDENT PATRICIA L. HARDAWAY RECEIVES 2009 LEADERSHIP IN EDUCATION AWARD

On April 4, 2009, SCLC/Women’s Organizational Movement For Equality Now Inc. will proudly present the 30th annual Drum Major for Justice Awards Dinner, which pays tribute to present day “Drum Majors” - individuals who have made major contributions advancing the social justice cause in their respective fields. As you may know, Dr. King wanted to be remembered as a Drum Major for Justice.

Patricia L. Hardaway will receive the “2009 Drum Major for Justice Leadership in Education Award” for her exceptional work and leadership in the education arena. Noted actress and social justice advocate, Cicely Tyson, and the Ron Clark Academy (You Can Vote However You Like) are among 2009 Drum Major for Justice Award recipients.
