WU HONDA ALL STAR TEAM COMPETES IN NATIONAL CHALLENGE
Please congratulate Mr. Cyrus Jones, Ms. Amanda Pratt, Mr. Bashan Horsley, Mr. Keith Moore, and Mr. Monti Washington for being selected to represent the university in Florida at the Annual Honda Campus All Star Challenge from March 26-30th.
Honda Campus All-Star Challenge (HCASC) is the first-ever academic competition between students at America's Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
HCASC campus play is open to all 4-year, degree-granting HBCUs in the continental U.S. Over 50,000 students have competed in the program. Each year, 64 schools qualify to attend the National Championship Tournament (NCT).
Wilberforce University had not been involved with HCASC for a few years, so it’s great to be re-established with the competition. Now, we are looking for some victories. We have been placed in the Ida B. Wells Division, competing with Alabama State University, Cheney University, Fisk University, Howard University, Jackson State University, Morehouse College, and Sojourner-Douglass College. So, when you see your fellow Wilberforcean’s, please give them some encouragement. I’d also like to publicly thank Ms. Ashley Harris, who was our HCASC Student Coordinator. Her work, has allowed us to re-connect with the national office. Thank you Ashley!!!
