How to Apply

Apply Online

We encourage you to apply early, especially if you are seeking financial aid and residence hall accommodations. The priority deadline for applying is January 1st.  The regular deadline is June 1st. You can request an application package from the Office of Admissions or apply online. High school juniors with outstanding academic records may apply for early admissions, allowing them to waive their senior year of high school and enroll full time at Wilberforce.

Your completed application file should include:

  1. Your legibly completed application (Failure to complete all the information in your packet may delay the processing of your application)
  2. Your official high school transcript showing grades received in all courses from ninth grade on and your rank in class or the results of your GED

  3. Results of the ACT or SAT (this may already be on your high school transcript). All testing should be completed by January for fall/August admission. It is not necessary to wait until all of the required tests have been taken before submitting your application.
  4. Two letters of recommendation (one from a H.S. counselor, teacher or principal and one from any of the aforementioned personnel or a pastor, manager or youth counselor)
  5. A five paragraph typewritten essay entitled "What goals I plan to accomplish by gaining a college education."
  6. $20.00 application fee ($25 if your application is submitted after deadline.

If you are interested in receiving Financial Aid, you must go on-line to complete your FAFSA at www.fafsa.org beginning January 1st.
