At Wilberforce, we recognize that you've gained valuable knowledge and skills since you last sat in a classroom. We'll help you create a personal portfolio that outlines your previous college, military, professional, and personal experiences. You can translate past workshops, seminars, and professional licenses into college credit, or test out of various subject areas through CLEF and DANTES standardized tests, or receive credit for writing life-learning papers to meet general education requirements. Faculty will assess your portfolio and allow you to earn up to 30 hours' credit for your past life accomplishments.
In addition to classroom assignments, an independent research project will give you experience solving problems, designing and implementing research, and interacting with others through written and verbal communications. When appropriate, this project will examine a real-life problem within your current organization.
