Interested in the Middle East?

The Wilberforce Center for Defense and Security Policy (CDSP) is currently offering full and part-time internships in the fall, spring and summer for self-motivated undergraduates who are interested in learning about the Middle East and gaining critical, independent analysis of the issues and policies shaping the region today. Interns become an integral part of CDSP’s work, studying a variety of security issues, including the war on terrorism, U.S. Middle East policy, the future of Iran, post-Saddam Iraq, and countless other topics.  

The Center for Defense and Security Policy was founded by Marshall Mitchell, Executive Vice President of Wilberforce University. Under his leadership, the Center has consolidated its gains and grown into new directions in research and programs with a view toward improving wider public understanding of domestic and international security problems and influencing the development of sounder public policy. CDSP has made it its mission to provide the best information and analysis on strategic issues for politicians, foreign affairs analysts and defense commentators.

Intern Responsibilities

Responsibilities include: assisting CDSP’s director in producing the Wilberforce Quarterly Journal, New Insights, and Disaster Preparedness; assisting in research, helping to generate content for CDSP’s website, proofreading, monitoring media coverage of the Middle East and many others.
