Wilberforce University | Administration | Campus Police

NOTE FROM THE CHIEF

Crime is everyone’s problem not just the campus police or other local police agencies. We as a community should work together to eliminate crime and make our campus a safe and secure learning environment.

The purpose of this report is to inform you of the safety programs available to you, the crimes that are reported to our campus police, and safety measures to make Wilberforce University the safest campus community within the region. This report is also provided as part of Wilberforce’s commitment to safety and security on campus and is in compliance with the Federal Crime Awareness and Campus Security Act in 1998.

We in the campus police department need your help to make our campus safe and secure. It takes all of us to get the job done. We as a department can detect, investigate and make arrest. However, prevention is the best method to suppress crime. Please do your part in preventing crime by securing your property and reporting suspicious and unlawful behavior immediately to the campus police department. Your efforts in conjunction with ours will help us all. Remember…See it! Hear it! Report it!

Sincerely,

Rev. Dr. David I. Fox

Chief of Police
Wilberforce University
