Biography
Dr. Hammed Abiodun Agboola joined Wilberforce Faculty since 1991 and currently serves President of Wilberforce University Faculty Association. He has received numerous awards including the prestigious Faculty Merit Bonus Awards three times for his excellent teaching ability and the univerisity service during his tenure at the university. He is the Director of Wilberforce University/University of Benin (Nigeria) International Research Partnership which was funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and monitored by the United Negro College Funds Special Programs (UNCFSPS).
The partnership led to the building of a Food Production Plant in Nigeria and led to the production of "Proffs Kilishi" a modern form of traditional sun-dried meat product. This new hygenic Kilishi is being positioned for mass production for marketing in Africa and in the other parts of the world. The project addressed the USAID strategic objectives (SOs) of (i) introduction of modern technology to agriculture production and (ii) income generation. In addition, Dr. Agboola currently serves as an Evaluator for Wilberforce University New Minority Male Health Project (NMMHP) a Wilberforce consortium with Morehouse College and other four universities. The project is funded by the United States Department of Health and Human Services.
Dr. Hammed Agboola is married to Mrs. Nkechinyem Agboola (BSN, RN) and they have two daughters.
