Major Overview
The Department of Mass Media Communications has two majors, including Print and Broadcast Journalism. Each of these majors and concentrations is exciting and different, and is designed to lead students towards careers in radio, television, magazines, newspapers, and other areas of journalism.

Our department is full of new and exciting things such as fully equipped television studios, digital video and audio editing facilities, and even a 24-hour FM stereo radio station WURS 97.5.  Our students produce a weekly newscast which is podcast on the internet.  We also videotape all important campus events for future presentation on the Time-Warner Cable TV System in Dayton which has a potential audience of over a quarter million people.  We are also preparing to stream our radio and television programs live 24 hours a day over the internet.
